In the middle of the Atlantic, Helena works to reconnect intimacy and friendship with her childhood friend and astrophysicist Ceu, who’s recently returned to the remote, Azorean island of Santa Maria, that has grown into a stage for multiple space exploration technologies and infrastructures. A work of speculative-fiction inspired by the island’s current investment in space resources,including the much-contested first European low-cost rocket and satellite launcher, SEE YOU LATER SPACE ISLAND is a tale of friendship and resistance in the face of ecological subsidence.
